BRX01 AWB Link Chassis

The BRX01 AWB (Adjustable Wheelbase) Link chassis is a new variant of the popular BRX01 chassis, featuring a realistic three-link with panhard bar suspension setup and a wheelbase adjustable from 265mm to 285mm or 10.4" to 11.2". It is equipped with the robust BCF2™ two-speed transmission and divorced B2X™ transfer case, connected by a high-efficiency output shaft. This drivetrain layout simplifies the build process and reduces play for improved efficiency and smoother operation.

At its core, the BRX01 AWB Link runs on the proven BRX80 PHAT™ axles, with an new C-hub and knuckle design using kingpins and brass bushings for enhanced durability and long-term performance. The axles use our popular proprietary AR44 heavy-duty hardened steel triangular keyed bevel helical cut 30/8T diff gears, with the same but reversed cut gears in the rear axle. The rear axle counter-rotates, which results in near-zero torque twist for chassis stability.

The high-articulation panhard mount kit was once an option, but it now comes standard on the BRX01 AWB Link. This mount allows the use of longer shocks to maximize articulation and reduces lateral axle movement for improved overall performance. A longer panhard rod improves axle geometry setup.


Heavy-Duty Shafts

The BADASS™ heavy-duty front and rear steel axle shafts and KUDU™ center CVD driveshafts are durable, smooth, and capable of high articulation angles. KUDU™ driveshafts are rebuildable and have become the standard drive shaft for all Boom Racing vehicles.

Suspension

Complete stainless steel links come standard on the BRX01 AWB Link chassis. These links add strategic low-mounted weight, improving the center of gravity and boosting crawling performance. The lower links are fully adjustable and designed with built-in high clearance. Suspension duties are handled by solid front and rear BRX80 PHAT™ straight axles paired with high-performance KUDU™ coilover oil-filled scale shocks, 70mm up front and 80mm in the rear.

Optimized for scale performance, the KUDU™ Coilover Shocks feature billet aluminum cylinder body for durability, steel shock shaft with titanium nitride coating, aluminum spring adjusters for unlimited spring tension adjustments, plastic pivot retainers (replaceable) for smoother swivel movements, BADASS™ stainless steel pivot balls that are corrosion-resistant, enabling high-degree pivot angles for massive articulation, and double X-Ring oil seals. It comes with cylinder and friction seals to prevent leaks and contaminants from entering. The bump stop provides an additional level of bottoming control, and an aluminum pivot ball tool is included for hassle-free maintenance.

Adjustable Wheelbase

Chassis wheelbase is adjustable from 265-285mm / 10.4"-11.2", by 1mm increments. If you need a longer setup, optional parts can extend the wheelbase to 285-305mm / 11.2" to 12.0" or 305-325mm / 12.0" to 12.8", respectively. See the instruction manual for the parts list.

Optional Servo Winch

The chassis is ready for an internal servo winch by installing the optional Servo Winch Mount Kit for BRX01 AWB & BRX01 (#BRLC70227).

Optional DIG and 2/4WD

Want dig or 2/4wd options? Swap out the B2X™ t-case for the optional DIG or SWD (2WD/4WD) t-cases. You will need the optional Mini Servo Mount for either of these two optional transfer cases.

Mini Servo Included

A JX waterproof 8.4V metal gear mini servo for remote 2-speed shifting is included.

Wheels and Tires

Included are 1.55" MAXGRAPPLER™ Gekko (Black) Compound tires, single-stage foam inserts, and 1.55" classic steelies beadlock wheels that are reversible for versatility.

ZIL Pickup Hard Body

The ZIL Pickup is a fully molded hard body with a 267mm wheelbase. Inspired by classic 1950s–60s pickups, it features a detailed interior, functional doors, hood and tailgate, radiator, scale engine space, and a separate full drop bed with a built-in storage compartment for your RC battery. It has 10 LED light buckets and lenses for the optional KUDU light kit (future release). Side steps are integrated with the chassis.

Waterproof

Is this kit waterproof? The short answer is yes! The BRX01 AWB is capable of being submerged in water. The receiver box is designed to be fully waterproof with rubber seals all around to protect your receiver from water. We've included a fully waterproof JX high-voltage mini shift servo for the BCF2™ 2-speed transmission. The axle gears are fully greased, with extra silicone and black graphite grease provided for maintenance and protection against water corrosion. Add your own waterproof electronics to make it fully waterproof.
